Lastics is a technique born directly from the world of dance that releases tension, increases flexibility and stimulates circulation by teaching people how to move their bodies in ways that stretch and elongate muscles from both ends simultaneously.
Stretching effectively means being able to isolate the ends of a muscle and then learning how to move the body to gently pull them in opposite directions. Unlike techniques that use something or someone to stretch muscles, Lastics is a technique that trains the body how to move and stretch itself, which is a core principle in dance.
Everything you need to stretch in a safe and meaningful way lies within the body. By learning how to articulate the hips and spine, and then using the arms, legs and head as natural weights, Lastics teaches people how to stretch their muscles from end-to-end, making them longer, stronger, more supple and healthy.
